The comic book anthology, meanwhile, will be a hardcover collection of the first 12 issues of the Overwatch comic series. Retailing for $19.99, this collection will launch a couple of weeks earlier than the art book, with a planned release date of October 10th.
Regardless of when these two books actually launch, if they are successful enough, it may convince Blizzard to publish even more Overwatch books. Perhaps Blizzard will even start expanding the game’s expansive lore through novels along with its comic books and animated shorts, as many other video game franchises have done in the past.
In the meantime, fans can at least look forward to The Art of Overwatch and the comic book anthology. Keep an eye out for an official announcement from Blizzard, which could come with even more information about what to expect from the books.
