With so many different heroes in Overwatch, there are some strange interactions that can be found such as Sigma’s climbing abilities. However, the constant changes and updates to the roster may also cause unintended bugs with some heroes’ abilities from time to time. While some of these glitches are minor annoyances, the latest bug with Ashe’s Dynamite ability is potentially game-breaking in the wrong situations.

When compared to other similar abilites, the dynamite that Ashe throws has some unique properties including a burn DOT and being able to explode in mid-air if shot. But while extremely strong, it can be normally stopped by the enemy team’s shields courtesy of front-liners like Reinhardt and Orisa. Yet in the past few days, a new bug has given the explosive the power to bypass these defenses at random.

User Darkspade0 posted a video showcasing the bug on the Competitive Overwatch subreddit yesterday. In the clip, Ashe’s Dynamite clearly arcs towards an incoming Sigma barrier and bounces off before reappearing on the other side near the enemy team. Discussion in the comments further reveal that the glitch isn’t consistent with the dynamite sometimes acting like normal or even disappearing off the map.

Since Ashe is a contested pick in the current meta, this bug will surely lead to many moments where both teams are confused at how dynamite manages to get through. And although Blizzard hasn’t responded to the issue yet, it should definitely be a priority since this bug could also affect the Overwatch League.

Overwatch is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
