When it comes to local co-op games, few can beat the quirky fun of Ghost Town Games’ Overcooked franchise. Persistently popular, both Overcooked and Overcooked 2 have been well-received by fans and critics alike, with the series showing no signs of slowing down. All eyes are on the upcoming Overcooked: All You Can Eat that’s coming to next-generation consoles, but in the meantime, it seems Ghost Town Games has more in store for fans.
Ghost Town Games is teasing a special “birthday surprise” for Overcooked fans in celebration of the franchise’s 4 year anniversary. All we know about the surprise that it is coming on Friday, and that it will be something “very special” that “money can’t buy.” Speculation points to this being yet another free Overcooked update, but it’s also possible that it’s something completely different and unexpected. Unless Ghost Town Games decides to spill the beans early, fans will just need to keep an eye on the company’s social media accounts come Friday.
Perhaps the surprise will be more information on what fans can expect from the Overcooked: All You Can Eat game for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Announced during Summer Game Fest, Overcooked: All You Can Eat combines the first two games in the series into one massive experience with improved visuals, new features, and more. However, there are still plenty of unanswered questions when it comes to Overcooked: All You Can Eat, so many fans will be hoping that they can learn more come Friday.
In the meantime, Overcooked 2 fans can check out the Suns Out, Buns Out update if they haven’t yet.
