The Trickster is a close-range demon in Outriders. It’s a class that specializes in dealing serious Anomaly Power damage with its skills while staying up close and personal with shotguns and SMGs.

No matter which build you decide to go with for the Trickster — and there are a few different paths to choose from — here are some of the very best weapons to choose from for the class. We’re focusing on specific Legendary weapons. Remember, all secondary mods on the Legendary guns below can be changed: we just reference whatever mod we found on our weapons, or the weapons we’ve seen online.

6 Aerie Master, Legendary Shotgun

There are loads of different Legendary shotguns, so it might be a bit tricky just to pick two or three from the list, but the Aerie Master is probably one of the best (and coolest-looking) shotguns for the Trickster. This is all thanks to the Weightlessness mod.

The Tier 3 mod basically ties in perfectly with the Trickster’s existing Time Rift skill. Weightlessness will cause your bullets to inflict Time Rift on enemies, raising them into the air. The secondary mod on the gun above, Critical Point, increases crit damage by a small amount, though you can change this up for whatever you want.

5 Body Snatcher, Legendary Shotgun

This gun is so, so good for the Trickster and Devastator. The Tier 3 Body Snatcher mod teleports another enemy to the spot where you’ve just killed one. You can chain together these long streaks without even having to move. The gun above is kitted out with the Minefield mod, which deals some AoE damage around you: it works pretty well for the Trickster, who is often swarmed with enemies anyway.

You could also consider some other great Trickster weapon mods, such as the Tier 2 mod Personal Space, which increases close range damage. Honestly, that Body Snatching Tier 3 mod is so good that you could run this gun with almost any other mod. Check out our guide to some of the best mods for the Trickster here.

4 Anomaly Effigy, Legendary Shotgun

The Anomaly Effigy is another awesome Legendary shotgun for the Trickster, all thanks to its Tier 3 Mod Concentration Blast. This causes killing shots to explode enemies and deal damage based on how many other enemies are in the vicinity — great for a Trickster build that likes to get stuck into the middle of all the chaos. Check out one of our Trickster guides.

The gun above has the Tier 2 Storm Whip mod, which causes lightning to strike enemies you hit with the gun, although there are probably some better options for mods. Something with some healing, like Soul Devourer could be a good option.

3 The Anemoi, Legendary Shotgun

The Anemoi, an automatic shotgun, was already mentioned in our guide on the best guns for the Devastator: that’s okay, the two classes rely heavily on close-range damage, and the Anemoi is pretty good at it. It all comes down to its key mod: Moaning Winds. This causes reloads to create a strong AoE blast around you. Imagine this: you’re surrounded by enemies, reloading constantly (because the Anemoi does have a tiny mag) and blasting them to pieces. Nice.

In terms of this exact weapon, it comes kitted out with the Tier 1 Anomaly Surge mod. This isn’t a terrible option as it deals its fair share of stacking AoE damage as well. Like we mentioned just above though, you might want to go for a mod that does something other than the main mod: you could opt for some healing, for example.

2 The Fatal Symbiont, Legendary SMG

This is another weapon that got mentioned in our best guns for the Devastator because it’s just so good. At first glance, this Legendary SMG might look a bit weird: shooting it drains your health? Yes, that’s the Dark Sacrifice mod, and it’s a top-tier mod that deals seriously impressive damage at the cost of a little bit of your HP.

Don’t get us wrong: the Fatal Symbiont works very well on the Devastator, who often prioritizes max HP. But there are some tanky options for the Trickster, too. Plus, with all the healing from the Trickster’s close-range skills, you will likely be out-healing the ticking drain from the gun.

1 Lucky, Legendary Pistol

This Revolver is a super-satisfying weapon to use. Out of all the Legendary sidearms, the Lucky revolver seems to best fit the Trickster’s skillset and general playstyle. Its Legendary mod is called the Pinball mod, and it causes every critical shot to ricochet to four enemies in a small radius around you.

The Trickster has no specific class-tree choices for either sidearm damage or any kind of critical hit modifier. As a result, rather than make something up about why one pistol is better than another for the Trickster, we just recommend you go for the one that’s the most fun to use. Lucky.
