Outriders is a shooter game developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix. The game garnered massive attention when a demo was released a month before launch, which garnered over 2 million players. A lot of people had high expectations for the game, and for the most part, those expectations were met, save for the game’s bountiful issues, bugs, and server complications.

Regardless of that, though, a lot of players still managed to enjoy the game and saw it through to the end. However, a game like Outriders doesn’t simply end when you finish its campaign. There are so many more things that you can do, things to discover, and areas to explore to really see everything this game is offering to its players.

10 Expedition Mode

Right after you finish the game’s main campaign, you are then invited to try out the game’s Expedition Mode. This essentially pushes you further through the game’s world. You’ll have the chance to fight so much more enemies and collect more items.

This part of the game feels so much more challenging than the base game. The enemies here are tougher. The World Tier mechanic is also replaced by Challenge Tiers, which governs the difficulty of the experience. Be sure you at least give it a shot before you shelf this game.

9 Collect Legendary Weapons

Outriders has an abundance of legendary weapons for you to check out. No matter what your play style preference is or what class you are using, there is definitely a legendary weapon in this game for you.

This is also where you can take advantage of the game’s Expedition mode since it is easier to farm legendary weapons here. Don’t just stop at one, either. Gather as many legendary weapons as you like and see which ones work out best for you.

8 Collect Legendary Armors

To perfectly complement the number of legendary weapons in this game, there is also a myriad of legendary armors and armor sets that you can collect in Outriders. Much like the weapons, there’s also going to be a handful of them suited for you regardless of your class.

A lot of the legendary armors in the game not only come with incredible benefits, but they also have extraordinary designs. You’ll be both powerful and stylish.

7 Do The Side Quests

Just because you’ve completed the game’s main quests, doesn’t mean there aren’t more missions for you to try out. There are a number of side quests in Outriders for you to check out and finish.

After you beat the final boss, be sure to return to Rift Town and the other previous areas to check out which side quests you may have missed. A lot of the game’s most memorable moments come from the game’s side quests. Don’t miss out on them.

6 Collect And Read The Journal Entries

The world and backstory of Outriders are some of the game’s biggest surprises. The writers behind the game really placed a ton of effort and heart into crafting this wonderfully rich world. Every single crevice of this architectural narrative deserves to be discovered and the best way to do that is by collecting and reading Journal Entries.

A lot of the Journal Entries will come to you easily via the game’s main quest and the characters you encounter along the way. However, some of them are more intricately placed than others.

5 Unlocking The Skill Trees

Aside from the game’s weapons and the abilities from each class, your character can become even more formidable in combat via the game’s skill tree traits. These will give you buffs and upgrades to really make you the powerful Altered you wish to be.

Be sure you check out the skill tree menu in the game to see which traits you want to prioritize first. By the end of the game, you most likely have unlocked at least half of them. Be sure to go further as some of the traits are located at the end of the branches.

4 Replay With A Different Class

This game has a very high replayability value because of its classes. Besides, the combat mechanic itself is insanely fun as well. If your first playthrough was with a Pyromancer class, you can easily start over with a different class and have just as much fun with it, granted you don’t encounter the game’s awful issues.

What’s great about this system is that each class comes with a recommended play style. A Technomancer is meant to be a long-ranged character while a Trickster is supposed to be closed-ranged. Playing a different class will force you to learn a new playstyle, thus diversifying your gameplay.

3 Play With Others

Now, it’s a very well-known fact at this point that this game’s servers aren’t exactly in their best condition. However, when you can, if you can, be sure to check out the multiplayer aspect of the game. This game encourages multiplayer gameplay a lot. Why not give it a shot?

Better yet, if you have friends who are also playing Outriders, now’s the time to play together. Play with other players who are of different classes so you can play off each other.

2 Extend The World Tier And Level Up

This game’s difficulty is tied to the World Tier you’ve set it in. The higher the World Tier, the more difficult the game will be, and the better chances you’ll have of getting better materials. You’ll gain more experience as well.

If you’ve been playing on a lower World Tier just to see the campaign through, that’s completely fine. However, if you really want to see most of what this game has to offer, extend your World Tiers, level up, and gain better items.

1 Collect Trophies/Achievements

Trophy and achievement hunters don’t need to be told about this anymore. However, if you don’t fall under that umbrella, it’s something you can take a dive into after you’ve beaten Outriders.

If you’re playing on a PlayStation console, you can try to earn every trophy until you’ll reach the Platinum. If you’re playing on an Xbox or a PC, earning every single achievement will get you a 1,000 Gamerscore. Not so bad, huh?
