Emotes are one of the best social aspects of modern looter-shooter video games, and they can help players that aren’t verbally talking to each other over a microphone when they need to communicate or show their emotions. Outriders launched with tons of different unique emotes that the player could use while adventuring on the planet of Enoch.

The emotes in Outriders are all very different from each other, which is why it is important to know about the best emotes so that you can use them in the correct situations while playing with other players.

10 Slow Clap

The Slow Clap emote is something that has been seen in other video games, and it features the player character clapping in a sarcastically slow manner.

You should use this funny emote while you’re joking around with your teammates, and it is best used when either your teammates or you yourself have made a small mistake. The Slow Clap emote is incredibly funny in the right situation, and luckily it made its way into Outriders at the launch of the game.

9 High Five

High fives are a gesture that almost everybody uses in the real world, which is why adding them to the emotes list in video games is so important.

The High Five emote can signal that you are happy about the boss you just defeated or with a decision that you’re teammate made. Overall, the High Five emote is useful for many different situations, which is why it is such a great gesture.

8 Use Your Brain!

Use Your Brain! is a hilarious emote that shows dissatisfaction with a teammate that may have done something that seems somewhat illogical while playing Outriders. Although this emote could be used for mocking a teammate, it should instead be used to show that you want them to take the game more seriously and try a bit harder.

The gesture in this emote shows the player character making a point to show that they want you to use your brain, which is why this emote should be used in a satirical sense or when you want a teammate to take a fight with a horde of high world-tier enemies more seriously.

7 Salute

Similar to high fives, however much more serious, salutes are an important gesture in the real world because they signify respect and acceptance towards other soldiers, or in this case, teammates. The admiration that is shown while saluting another player is great, and it helps bring a team together, especially teammates that don’t know each other and are randomly matchmaking.

The Salute emote can be used either when you want to show your teammate that they did a good job or before you start fighting enemies since it will show that you hope that both of you will do well during the fight.

6 Idiot’s Jig

There are many different emotes that feature dancing in Outriders; however, Idiot’s Jig is arguably the funniest out of all of them. Idiot’s Jig features a funny dance that isn’t to be taken seriously by professional dancers.

The best time to use emotes such as Idiot’s Jig are when you are happy after completing a side quest or obtaining a new piece of legendary armor. However, you can always break out and dance for no reason, as many players do in multiplayer video games.

5 Fist Bump

Fist bumps are a step up from high fives because they show how much admiration you have for your teammate and that you enjoy playing with them. It is a great thing that the Fist Bump emote made it into Outriders at launch since now teammates can show how much they mean to each other and how happy they are with each other’s work.

The Fist Bump emote simply features a regular fist bump as it would exist in real life, and it’s great that the developers didn’t change too much about this friendly gesture.

4 Dancercise

Dancercise is another dance emote in Outriders; however, this one features a movement that could also be considered exercise under the right circumstances. Exercising is very important; however, the soldiers in Outriders probably get enough of it while exploring Enoch in all of its harsh conditions.

Dancercise is a goofy emote, and it’s one of the best dancing-themed gestures that you can use in Outriders. Even though Outriders is a serious game with an urgent story, it’s fun to stand back and dance every once in a while.

3 Angry Arrogance

Angry Arrogance is an emote that shows that the player is serious about their abilities to defeat an enemy; however, it also displays an angry emotion that can help show that you are finally ready to defeat a boss after dying to it a couple of times already.

The Angry Arrogance emote is fun to use in the right situation since there currently aren’t any other emotes quite like it in Outriders. Luckily, most players will understand your emotions if you use the Angry Arrogance emote since it is so blunt.

2 Belly Laugh

The Belly Laugh emote shows that you find a situation funny, and it is the best laughing emote in Outriders since it shows your emotions so clearly while using it. Belly laughs are a common type of emote in multiplayer video games, along with other emotes that feature the player laughing in some way.

If you want to show that you aren’t taking the game too seriously, then you can use the Belly Laugh emote to get this message across clearly.

1 Dancing Up A Storm

Dancing Up A Storm is arguably the best dancing emote in Outriders because of its colorful dance moves and interesting movements. While you are using this emote, it will be clear to other players that you simply want to have a good time and don’t expect them to play too seriously.

However, the Dancing Up A Storm emote can also be used to show joy, such as when you obtain a new weapon or finally defeat a strong enemy. The reason that this emote is so great is because it is interchangeable in different situations and with different emotions; it also just looks really cool.
