The 94th annual Academy Awards are here. Almost. With the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announcing the nominees live on the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 8, we’re here to share with you all the Oscars 2022 contenders.

Going into the big morning a lot of eyes were on a number of fan and critical favorites. And if you’re rooting for Jane Campion’s deconstructionist Western, The Power of the Dog, you had a very nice wake up call with the film over-performing and surprising with 12 nominations, including a surprise second nomination in Best Supporting Actor for Jesse Plemons, who joins co-star Kodi Smit-McPhee in that category. It’s a real coup for Netflix since the once often snubbing streamer now has the film leading in nominees. The only competitor close in the nomination count is Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, and that was snubbed an expected Best Director nomination.

Meanwhile fans of Kristen Stewart’s riveting turn in Spencer were rewarded with her taking an (at this point) surprise Oscar nomination in the Best Actress category while one of the expected favorites–Lady Gaga for House of Gucci–was snubbed completely. You can see the whole list of nominees, snubs and surprises, below.
