Ready for an epic summer dance party? Well, then you have to check out Ooblets, an adorable and colorful life simulator game that got a brand new trailer filled with lots of color, lots of cuties, and a lot of dancing during yesterday’s PC Gaming Show 2020. The trailer also announced an official release date of Summer 2020 for the game on PC and Xbox One.

Described as “Harvest Moon meets Pokémon meets Animal Crossing,” Ooblets is a single-player farming simulator game created by two-person indie video games studio Glumberland (comprised of artist/programmer Rebecca Cordingley and game designer/writer Ben Wasser) who have been working on the title since 2016. The game received a brand new trailer during yesterday’s PC Gaming Show:

In Ooblets, players will travel to a colorful new island called Oob that’s filled with “ooblets” (adorable, Pokémon-esque creatures) and be tasked with their own farm to manage. In addition to growing crops and building their farm from the ground up (literally), players will also have the chance to explore a “bustling little town full of characters” and meet new friends and collect more ooblets of all shapes and sizes.

Speaking of those eponymous ooblets, building their collecting is an important part of the game. Players can travel all around Oob to find unique locations that each house their own ooblets. They can even form or join their own Ooblet Club to connect with other characters over their shared love for ooblets. And, perhaps the most exciting part - players will have the opportunity to engage in some pretty epic dance battles against their ooblets, so get ready to bust out those moves if you wanna beat other ooblets and their trainers.

In addition to their farm management and ooblet-collecting, players can also customize their appearance, change up their avatar’s look, and even decorate their house à la Animal Crossing-style.
