Publisher Destructive Creations and developer Invader Studios are finally releasing the console version of DAYMARE: 1998 the outstanding tribute to the classic survival horror game that fuels our collective nostalgia by recreating the look and feel of beloved works from the 1990’s.
DAYMARE: 1998 initially released for PC on Steam in September of last year and has been a huge hit among players since its release. Now might be a perfect time to dive into the terrifying game, especially for fans of the original Resident Evil games.
The developers of DAYMARE: 1998 are open with the fact that their game is a type of tribute to the classic games in that series, and so they contracted Paul Haddad, the actor who voiced Leon Kennedy in a starring role in their game. As Haddad passed away only two weeks ago, it feels fitting to see his final performance receive such a stylish launch on consoles.
Both the retail and digital versions of DAYMARE: 1998 will launch in Europe today, but due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the North American physical launch is delayed until June 16, 2020. The collectible DAYMARE: 1998 Black Edition features character postcards, a set of logo stickers, and an exclusive set of logo pins at selected retailers only, all contained in a distinctive slipcase.
