Capricia Productions’ upcoming game, Of Bird and Cage, is one that gamers who are fans of the musical genres of Rock and Metal should keep their eyes on.

The symphonic music-based action-adventure, Of Bird and Cage, will feature the vocal talents of Danny Worsnop (Asking Alexandria), along with the musical talents of other Rock and Metal musicians, including Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses), Rob van der Loo (Epica), Ruud Jolie (Within Temptation), Casey Grillo (ex-Kamelot), and Rocky Grey (ex-Evanescence), just to name a few.

Of Bird and Cage is based on the story of Beauty and the Beast, but will focus more on the themes surrounding Stockholm Syndrome, and be far darker in tone from the fairy tale - which makes sense considering the game’s inclusion of sex, drugs, alcohol, hallucinations, and violence.

It was recently announced that Danny Workshop has recorded the vocals for the character, Ari, who is the romantic partner of the game’s playable protagonist, Gitta, voiced by Kobra Paige (Kobra and the Lotus).

“It was an absolute honor to work with Danny,” stated Arnold Nesis, Capricia’s CEO and music composer/producer. “He is a professional, and he understood that in this case, he was not just singing a ‘normal; vocal line, but voicing a complicated character, who already has his own personality and voice. We believe Danny not only captured Ari perfectly, but also added his own personality to the character and made him even more interesting.”

Danny himself echoed the enthusiasm about the game, stating, “We’ve had a lot of fun making this – it’s an entirely new approach, an entirely new concept, and a way to absorb the video game platform that I believe you guys are going to enjoy. There are a lot of incredible other musicians who’ve been involved in the casting, the creation, the scoring and the performance within this video game and I would just want to say thank you to all of them who’ve been involved, and thank you to everyone who has created Of Bird and Cage for having me on board.”

No release date for Of Bird and Cage has been revealed yet, but the team is planning on an early 2021 release for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
