Developer Bloober Team has announced that Observer will be making its way to the next generations of consoles on the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X. The brief teaser posted to Twitter indicates that Observer: System Redux will be a remaster of the classic cyberpunk horror game.
Since the announcement was vague and did not explicitly announce that the project was a remaster, we may instead be seeing a sequel. Given that the first game offers players access to an expansive neon-lit future that reminded us distinctly of a Blade Runner world.
Either a sequel or a remaster would bode well with players, especially since the release of Cyberpunk 2077 approaches, and the overall themes present in both games will make marketing and sales an easier task than usual.
For those who might have missed this game when it first launched in 2017, it is currently available on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. Considering that we all have some extra time on our hands now thanks to social distancing measures, this is a great time to check out Observer: System Redux. Completing the main story should take around seven hours, whereas completionists will easily spend close to 20 hours delving into every secret of this futuristic world.
