NorthernForces, a multi-media gaming organization that spans Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, is launching a 24-hour live stream on Saturday to raise funds to aid Palestine following the atrocious acts committed by Israel.
Partaking in this is vexmlk, Mina, delusionalowl_, NorthZeko, Xingo, PelleyJ, GeeBrooo, and TheHomieMyKE. This charity stream will be taking place on its official Twitch channel, NorthernForcesTV.
This won’t be its first 24-hour live stream, either, as it ran one back in Halloween, 2020, raising funds for St. Judes. This was dubbed ‘Northern Frights’ and began at 6 pm EST, and so it’s likely that a similar timeframe can be expected here.
Participant Mina ran a 100-hour Palestine Charity Subathon that started May 15, so this won’t be her first time spending a lengthy amount of hours streaming in order to help with the cause.
As of yesterday, a ceasefire was agreed upon between Gaza and Israel, but the damaging effects of Israel’s attack on Palestine still leave the country in dire need of help, hence the ongoing charitable efforts from many in the industry. These vary from NorthernForces to the variety of influencers and journalists such as Gene Park, Tamoor Hussain, Saniya, etc., to Super Smash Bros. Melee players to developers such as with the new Itch.io bundle.
Over 200 Palestinians, 58 of which are children, have been murdered as a result of the past month’s bombardment of horrendous attacks, with many buildings leveled and homes destroyed, refugee camps being blown up. This has left the country in need of help and, even in the face of a ceasefire, the situation is far from over. Israel has been pushing into Palestinian territory for decades unopposed, but now, many are taking a public stand against these actions, voicing their support for Palestine.
