Now that Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise reviews are out in the open, some people and media outlets are giving their honest thoughts, impressions, and critiques about the game. One common complaint that almost all reviews have stated thus far is that the game suffers from a poor framerate, which in return produces choppy and stuttery gameplay. As it turns out, there are no immediate plans to address the issue, and fans will have to deal with the framerate problems for now.

The information about the situation comes from YouTuber Jim Sterling who posted a video about Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise where he gave his impressions about the game and explained how the game changed from the first installment. At the beginning of the video, the YouTuber addressed the framerate issue and how it didn’t get any better as the game progressed. According to the video, since the majority of the game takes place outside, that is where the framerate issue arises. Even in some indoor areas, one can see the framerate going down.

After witnessing the low framerate, Sterling stated how he reached out to the PR department of this game, to which he got a reply that said how they have no plans to fix it. “And I spoke with the PR on this game,” Sterling said in his impression video, “and they told me they got no plans to fix it. No immediate plans come to mind for them to make it better.” Such a response can be seen as confusing to some people because they can see a clear problem with the game and are aware that the developers know about the issue. Yet, nothing is going to be done to address it.

As average players get a chance to play Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise (although some may find it unlikely given the framerate situation after the YouTuber’s video), more support and voices will be heard that will aim at fixing the game and make it more enjoyable and tolerable to experience. Having to deal with a low framerate can be painful because it can significantly impact gameplay, especially during crucial or important story moments. Hopefully, the developers will listen and do something about the problem.
