With Min Min added to the Smash roster, players can now get hands-on with a new fighter. And thanks to a new tournament in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate coming this weekend, the ARMS fighter will get thrown into the fray fast. A new tournament titled “Armed For Victory” will begin this weekend, allowing players to use the best fighters that use their arms.

The new online tourney event will highlight the best of the best when it comes to hand-to-hand combat characters. Min Min joins the likes of other fighters like Ryu, Terry, Little Mac, Donkey King, and even Incineroar for this unique tournament that highlights these melee fighters (but not Melee fighters). With the limited format, this tournament should test out how well Min Min performs in competitions going forward.

The tournament starts on July 3 and continues through the July 4th weekend. The event was announced on Nintendo UK’s VS Twitter page as the three-day Smash tournament titled “Victory Is In Your Grasp!” This event marks the first of many similar competitions taking place over the summer for Nintendo Switch owners. Splatoon 2 is seeing its own summer games. The official Smash Bros. Twitter account in Japan has also announced the upcoming tournament featuring these handsy fighters.

Splatoon 2 previously announced a Turf War tournament for July 18 to receive My Nintendo Gold Points. We don’t know what the grand prize will be for the upcoming Smash tournament, but we should expect something good for those who manage to climb the ranks. With all the hype surrounding Min Min and potential prizes, we’re bound to see a big turnout.

Min Min was announced as the first DLC character in Volume 2 of the Fighters Pass this month, so players will get to play as an ARMS character in a Smash tournament for the first time. Along with Min Min, players also received the Spring Stadium stage from the fighting game as well as 18 music tracks.

Players can join in on the new online tourney “Armed For Victory” on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate when it begins on July 3.
