Nintendo has already had a pretty good year in terms of sales. Retailors can barely keep the Nintendo Switch in stock, and Animal Crossing has grown to a surprising level of popularity. Even with the huge spike in Switch ownership, though, Nintendo seems like they are ready to announce some new titles. Earlier in June, a surprise announcement for the return of Pokémon Snap. Along with the games already announced, there are a ton of titles that Nintendo fans are predicting are going to be released this year. Below are the ten titles that fans think are still getting a 2020 release window.
10 Legend Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2
Fans still can’t get over how impressive Breath of The Wild was. The game took the Zelda formula and completely reworked it into an open-world game. The world was lush, expansive, and gave players an interesting assortment of weapons for players to use and break.
Breath of The Wild 2 is coming, and many fans think that Nintendo is going to announce it for a fall release.
9 Metroid Prime 4
Metroid Prime 4 has been announced for a few years now, but fans haven’t seen much from it. The game has obviously been in development for quite some time now and would be the perfect announcement to round out 2020. Metroid is one of Nintendo’s more adult-targeted series.
Releasing the game now would be perfect for balancing out the Nintendo titles available on the Switch.
8 Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Remake
Pokémon Diamond & Pearl is the next-in-line to receive a remake. The game would take players back to the Sinnoh region, where they can catch Dialga and Palkia to legendary Pokémon that are easy to catch. The game would most likely come out for the Switch since the 3DS has started to phase out.
The remake would hopefully allow trainers to transfer more Gen 4 Pokémon into Sword and Shield.
7 Persona 5
Last year Joker was released for Smash, much to many gamers surprise. It’s a bit surprising that we haven’t seen Persona 5 officially announced for Nintendo Switch. Fans are expecting a port of the game to be announced this year, and many speculate that the port is already complete.
Persona 5 would sell well if put on the Portable console, and the Royal addition would give new players every bit of content they need to enjoy the game.
6 Fallout 4
Smash recently announced that a Vault Boy costume was coming for Smash. The Switch already has Fallout Shelter available for download, and Bethesda has released other games on the console. Fallout 4 would be the perfect announcement, especially since the port would be pretty easy to make.
Fans expect Fallout 4 to be announced at any minute.
5 Kirby Dream Collection 2
This year is Kirby’s 28th anniversary, and the developers have promised that we will get more content from the series. One thing fans are hoping for is another Kirby Dream Collection containing past games from the franchise. The DS and 3DS titles would be nice to finally have on Switch.
This is just one of many predictions fans have for Kirbyin 2020.
4 Pokémon Let’s Go: Gold and Silver
It’s only natural for fans to assume that the Let’s Go series would get a sequel based in Johto. Fans are already predicting which two Pokémon are going to represent the series, with many fans hoping for Marill and Togepi. No matter who the mascots are, though, the games would be a welcome surprise.
Fans think that if remakes of Sinnoh aren’t announced, then a Johto based game for the Switch will be.
3 Super Mario All-Stars 2
Another huge rumor is that we are going to get another Super Mario All-Stars Collection. The rumor also seems hopeful that we will see on the 3D Mario games on one disc, including Sunshine and Galaxy. Others are hopeful that it will contain all the games of the last collection as well.
This would be the perfect game for those that need more Mario content fast, especially since making another 3D game for the Switch will take some time.
2 Mother 3
This is another game that fans have been begging for. Mother 3 is the only came in the Mother franchise that has never had an official release. Fans have had to make their own translations in order to play the game in English. Fans think that the game will be announced any time now, especially since it is so popular.
Lucas is also a representative in Smash and the main character of Mother 3.
1 F-Zero Switch
F-Zero is a franchise that hasn’t been seen since the Gameboy Advance. Nintendo stopped making games for the franchise even though Captain Falcon became a popular character in Smash. F-Zero is a game where you race futuristic vehicles along a set race track where you can destroy the other vehicles.
You have to manage your vehicle’s health and boost power in order to win the race. With the lack of racing games on the Nintendo Switch, this series would be a perfect addition.
