In anticipation of next week’s release of Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor, the development team at Stray Fawn Studio has released Nimbatus - Drone Creator for free on Steam as a standalone game.
Nimbatus - Drone Creator allows players to get a small sample of what the full game will have to offer when it releases on May 14th, by letting them build their own custom drone within the in-game editor. Players can choose from more than 75 parts including rocket thrusters, batteries, tools, and weapons, before testing out how their creation handles in the drone testing area to know it’s ready to take on the harsh conditions of space exploration.
Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor tasks players with exploring the far reaches of space in sandbox-style gameplay or the game’s story-based survival mode. Don’t let the charming art design fool you, though. Nimbatus is no walk in the park. During my time spent playing the full game for our review (coming next week), I can say that building an effective drone is no easy task. Plenty of my in-game hours have already been spent running trial-and-error tests in the drone testing grounds.
Those interested in the full release can get a nice head start on learning the ins-and-outs of drone building before the game launches next week.
