To recap
D7100 delivers plenty of highs: a comprehensive autofocus system, decent battery life, good raw images and a 100 per cent optical viewfinder to name but a handful. Problem is the same-as-D5200 sensor still suffers from some banding in shadow areas, shots weren’t always as sharp as we’d anticipated and the burst mode isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. A few blips on the map of an otherwise excellent machine.
