Ubisoft has released a trailer to tease what fans can expect from its Ubisoft Forward event. The assumption can be made that this event was originally scheduled for June during E3 week, however, with Covid-19 mixing the entire year up, Ubisoft is providing a digital event on July 12 as a replacement.

Fans of Ubisoft can expect new information on the latest games from the publisher, new game reveals, and overall updates on the company’s worldwide studios. Ubisoft has a major lineup of games to provide information on, including its new game battle royale game, Hyper Scape, which has been dominating Twitch channels over the last week.

The Ubisoft Forward teaser is mostly a montage showing off the studio’s upcoming games and providing some information for fans. The games in the montage that fans can expect to see during the event are Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs 3, Hyper Scape, a Trials game, Just Dance, and more. The event takes place at 12 PM PDT on July 12 and fans can also log in to their Uplay account during the presentation to claim a free copy of Watch Dogs 2 on PC.

Historically, Ubisoft has held a summer showcase like this in June during E3. But since there is no E3 this year, the gaming world is shifting to a summer-long string of announcements. These events are also highly anticipated by fans as they usually show off the next big thing from the company holding the event. Recently, rumors of Far Cry 6 featuring Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito have been making waves across the internet. If Ubisoft were going to announce Far Cry 6, the game would likely show up at the Ubisoft Forward.

Late last year, Ubisoft made the decision to delay Watch Dogs Legion, Gods & Monsters, and Rainbow Six Quarantine. This move came after the disappointing sales performances from Ghost Recon Breakpoint and The Division 2 and resulted in the publisher delaying all three games to the second half of 2020. Since the delay, Ubisoft hasn’t said much about the three titles so fans are surely expecting some kind of update from each game during the Ubisoft Forward.

After the show, Ubisoft is holding a post-show that will feature a deep-dive walkthrough of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Unfortunately for Ubisoft, fans may have already seen the planned walkthrough video as a 30 minute Assassin’s Creed Valhalla video leaked over the weekend. These post-shows usually include some kind of developer commentary as well that will surely provide more information about the game and add some context to what is happening on screen.
