A recent leak has revealed many more details about the upcoming cars arriving in Fortnite.

Players of Fortnite have requested cars be added to the game. With the release of Season 3’s flooded map, cars have been teased in the videos around it. Recently, data miners using the v13.30 game files were able to leak information about the upcoming cars. These leaks revealed many of the mechanics and other details that come with these cars.

The following are some of the leaked mechanics of the cars; When you hit a car, you gain metal similar to the brute. Brake skids will be formed at a min speed of 10, and tire skids at a min speed of 20. Handbrakes will be present that are usable. Vehicles will have health around the 500 range, with a varying max speed of 28 to 45 which might depend on the vehicle type.

Also included in the leaks on twitter by data miner, VastBlast is the type of cars available to be the driven which are: sedans, sports cars, pickup, and semi-trucks. Vehicles also allow players to eject from them after getting hit for 50 damage. Hitting a player will cause them to get impulses. Cars will also be required to be refueled for further usage by utilizing gas pumps or jerrycans.

Included in the series of leaks is the explosion damage values that are generated when a car’s health is fully depleted. An exploding car will deal around 800 damage to destructible structures. It will also deal around 200 damage to a player up close, and a minimum of 50 if they are farther away. VastBlast also has stated on twitter that the next water level and possibly cars will begin to be revealed soon.

It is important to note that these leaks are still leaks. We don’t know whether or not cars will be added to the game anytime soon. These leaks also could also be subjected to change by the time that they are eventually released, so players should take these leaks with a grain of salt. For now, players might have to wait a little while. Till then, we are going to have to settle with the aquatic vehicles we have now.
