Although Mortal Kombat 11 fans have taken some issues with the microtransactions, the grind, or even Ronda Rousey’s voice acting for Sonya Blade, it has still launched to a generally favorable reception, but that’s not to say that everything has been perfect from day one. Many PC players have experienced issues with the Krypt, and the Nintendo Switch version launched with a number of missing features and content.

Now, a new 10GB patch for Mortal Kombat 11 on the Nintendo Switch has focused on adding back these missing features, some new content, and a variety of general fixes for the latest entry in the gory fighting franchise. The biggest additions seem to be character lessons that are now available, the ability to select Shao Kahn as the announcer, Tournament presets for AI characters, some incorrect Kombo listings are fixed, and the move list will now detail how to perform a Brutality and a Krushing Blow version of a move.

It seems many thought that this would also include the Towers of Time fix, a promised update that will make this section of the game easier, but it ultimately did not. Nevertheless, NetherRealms is still working on this, and the Mortal Kombat 11 Towers of Time fix is in the works.

Beyond these elements, this patch also includes character and gameplay balancing, audio and localization updates, stability improvements, and general fixes. These weren’t explicitly detailed, but this should hopefully mean that several Nintendo Switch gamers are experiencing less technical issues with Mortal Kombat 11 than before, though this has not been confirmed.

The character and gameplay balancing doesn’t likely mess with our overall Mortal Kombat 11 tier list, but players across all platforms can likely expect it to change when the reported DLC characters go live. For now, a recent datamine suggests that there will be 19 total character DLCs, with another data mine suggesting that nine of those characters will be Shang Tsung, Joker, Nightwolf, Terminator, Sindel, Spawn, Ash, Fujin, and Sheeva. If these datamines are accurate, then players can expect 19 DLC characters that will hopefully arrive on the Nintendo Switch at the same time as other consoles.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
