With Mortal Kombat 11’s Aftermath expansion hitting consoles at the end of this month, it seems fans are more excited than ever to jump back into last year’s fighting extravaganza to crush a few more skulls. Not only will the DLC dish out a few more characters for players to learn and enjoy, including action movie icon RoboCop and returning Mortal Kombat staple Sheeva, but it will also build on the narrative first established in Mortal Kombat 11’s campaign.
One of the other new combatants joining the game will be returning character Fujin, who first debuted as a playable fighter all the way back in Mortal Kombat 4. The god of wind, his arsenal consists of a number of hard-hitting moves based around his powers, including a sword embued with wind powers and the ability to land punches that knock opponents back with severe force.
Alongside this move set, it seems a new Reddit video has revealed the character’s brutality, with the move being titled “Dust in the Wind.” Walking towards his opponent, Fujin flies into the air, creating a spinning tornado that engulfs his enemy and begins violently spinning them. As the victim flails around, the tornado eventually tears the opponent’s skin straight from their body, leaving nothing but a bloody skeleton remaining as it falls to the ground lifeless. Fujin then celebrates, taking his sword from its sheath, pulling off a skillful front flip, and then jumping up and floating in the air.
It’s without a doubt a cool move very fitting of the character and his move set, showing off exactly how faithful this recreation of the fighter looks to be. Outside of Fujin’s brutality, Neverrealm has released several new pieces of footage over the last few days that highlighted the abilities of its new DLC roster. One of these clips shows off RoboCop’s fatalities, with one seeing a giant mech shoot an opponent apart and another have RoboCop use his pinpoint shooting to take an enemy’s hand clean off, while another highlights the combat abilities of each new Mortal Kombat 11 fighter.
Aftermath seems like it’s going to be an incredible addition to the game when it launches in just over a week’s time, with its new characters all boasting a wide array of moves, spectacular fatalities, and savage brutalities, while its storyline looks to expand upon the already celebrated narrative of Mortal Kombat 11. With the spread of the coronavirus seeing many confined to their homes, this will no doubt be a fantastic piece of additional content for fans to invest their free time into.
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath launches on May 26 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
