A compilation edition of Mortal Kombat 11 called “Aftermath Collection” might be coming with every DLC character inside.

This was probably to be expected given how games work these days. You send out a bunch of DLC, and then after all the DLC arrives, you sell an ultimate edition that combines all the DLC into one handy package. Call it a “game of the year” edition or an Aftermath Collection, but it’s basically the same thing. Not that we’re complaining.

News of Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath Collection comes courtesy of SteamDB, where a mysterious new package arrived yesterday. We don’t have much in terms of details from this package, but given the name, we’re assuming that it’s a version of Mortal Kombat 11 that simply includes all previous DLC characters. That means Shang Tsung, Night Wolf, Sindel, The Joker, The Terminator, and Spawn will come with this version of the game, letting new players jump in with as many characters as Kombat Pack owners.

There’s also rumors of NetherRealm sweetening the deal with a brand new DLC character that comes with the Aftermath Collection. According to MK11 hacker TheThiny, that character could be Robocop. There’s a line in the code that says “ROB” and we can’t think of who else that might stand for.

TheThiny also mentioned a new series of DLC characters that might be coming later this year. Those characters include Sheeva and Fujin from previous Mortal Kombat games, as well as the long-rumored addition of Ash Williams from the Evil Dead series. We’ve been waiting on Ash for almost a year, so his arrival would finally put that rumor to rest.

Recent code additions might also lead is to Takeda and Stryker finally making it to Mortal Kombat 11. TheThiny mentions that MK11 should top out at 42 characters, which means we’ve got 11 more to go before Mortal Kombat 11 is finished with its DLC.
