Fall Guys’ creators thought one of its trophies/achievements was so hard to get that no one would ever unlock it. How wrong they were.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been in our lives for more than a week now and the new take on the battle royale genre continues to take the world by storm. Instead of shooting and attempting to kill your rivals, players simply need to outlast them through varying rounds of a game show. That being said, we have wanted to do a little more than outlast the players who have sent us toppling over the edge during Slime Climb.
More than 1.5 million new players tried out Fall Guys in its first day, and two million people downloaded it on Steam within the first week. However, Joe Walsh, one of the developers behind Fall Guys, was adamant that one of the game’s trophies/achievements would be almost impossible to attain.
Although Walsh didn’t divulge which trophy that was during the Reddit AMA, it was later confirmed by Mediatonic that he was referring to the “Infalliable” challenge. It requires a player to win five shows in a row to unlock it. Anyone who has played Fall Guys would likely agree that it would take days, weeks, and maybe even months of practice to achieve that lofty goal, and most players will probably never unlock it.
However, just hours after Fall Guys’ official release, some players started to report that they had already won five shows in a row. Honestly, had a few of them not provided evidence, we would not have believed them for a second. Some of them were telling the truth though, and a week into Fall Guys’ existence there have been more than 300 PS4 players to have earned the trophy.
While some players have earned it legitimately and alone, others have admitted to using team tactics in order to get the deed done. Entering a show with friends who help them win the final round should some or all of them make it. As players become more experienced, chances are this trophy will become harder to unlock. However, at the plea of trophy hunters, Mediatonic has hinted that changes coming to Fall Guys in the future will make this achievement easier to achieve.
