It’s once again time to outlast the terrors of the deep, as indie developer Junkfish’s Monstrum 2 makes its way into players’ hands later this year.

It was recently revealed that closed beta sign-ups are now available for Monstrum 2 - the cult nautical multiplayer horror game that is slated for release during the final quarter of 2020. Those interested can fill out the sign-up form on the website to receive details via email. However, signing up does not necessarily guarantee that you’ll be selected to participate in the beta.

With the original game having been released in 2015 (while currently sitting at a Steam User Rating of “Very Positive”), Monstrum 2 will feature 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer gameplay set within the confines of an abandoned sea fortress. First-person stealth will continue to be one of the key factors to success as up to four human players work to escape the clutches of the various deep-sea monstrosities that hunt them in procedurally generated environments.

Besides signing up for the closed beta, players can also pre-purchase Monstrum 2 for a discounted price of $12.99, while receiving Early Access to the game along with additional bonus content. Given the original game’s success, now may be the best time to snag the multiplayer title before the price jumps up.
