Monster Truck Championship - an upcoming simulation game from Nacon and Teyon - released a gameplay video showcasing the incredible power of monster trucks. This adrenaline-filled video highlights never-before-seen in-game gameplay and is sure to get fans excited for the first-of-its-kind simulator.

The game is a unique simulator that allows players to take control of giant trucks in order to participate in various competitions. The gameplay highlights the realistic approach to driving that the game will offer as opposed to the more standard “arcade” style. This approach allows players to pull off believable aerial and ground moves while learning the unique physics of monster trucks.

Within the game, players will face five different types of challenges from simple races to the more challenging timed trials. In the Race challenge, players will face off against eight other drivers to finish in the lead. In the Time-Trial challenge, players will work to set new time records while the Drag Race challenge will see players competing against one other driver on a very short section of track. The Freestyle challenge is all about performing spectacular tricks, and the Destruction challenge is all about destroying everything.

A really neat feature that was showcased in the gameplay is the ability to utilize the cockpit camera. With this, players can experience the adrenaline-inducing feeling of driving high above the track. During flips and tricks, the camera offers the best perspective to admire a six-ton hunk of metal careening through the air. Plus, there is a neat slow-motion view that offers a spectacular view of a metal behemoth twisting through the air.

Monster Truck Championship also boasts a ton of other features that include twenty-five tracks in different cities across the United States, sixteen customizable trucks to make each one unique, realistic handling and physics, an online mode for up to eight players, and a career mode that sees players managing vehicles, sponsors, and technicians.

As someone who is more of an action/adventure gamer than a racer, I must admit that this gameplay has me amped to strap into a truck and cause a little mayhem!

Monster Truck Championship is set to release October 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam, with plans of eventually landing on the Nintendo Switch after launch.
