If the current selection of prey in Monster Hunter: World aren’t worthy of your time, then perhaps another Arch-Tempered Elder Dragon might do. As if it wasn’t difficult enough, an Arch-Tempered version of Teostra is coming to the game later this month, which means a significant challenge awaits hunters brave enough to face it.

According to the Monster Hunter: World JP Twitter account, a new event quest will be available from August 10 to August 23 that will feature an encounter with an Arch-Tempered Teostra. This beast is already notorious for one-shot wipes in its original form, so stay on your toes for this upgraded version. Completing the event will reward players with materials needed to craft γ (gamma) series armor.

The Teostra event is the latest in a long line that feature Arch-Tempered versions of some of the most deadly monsters in the game. Shortly after adding Lunastra, an Arch-Tempered version of Kirin was added, becoming the first to receive the treatment. This was then followed by Vaal Hazak. And later, by the time hunters have had their fill of Teostra, an Arch-Tempered Kushala Daora event is scheduled to arrive some time in September, which will also provide a γ (gamma) series armor set.

While hunters wait for their time to take on the fiery beast, they can participate in the Final Fantasy 14 crossover event which begins today. The notorious Behemoth, a Final Fantasy staple, is being added to the game as part of the event, and will be available to hunt for various rewards, including armor that makes your hunter look like the Dragoons of legend.

The Behemoth might be a breeze compared to Arch-Tempered monsters, but it will provide a decent enough challenge. Among its collection of moves is the ability to bring meteors crashing down upon the party, as well as an ultimate move called Ecliptic Meteor. Anyone foolish enough to be caught in the blast will receive an instant faint.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and is set to release on August 9, 2018 for PC.
