Monster Hunter Rise has just released for the Nintendo Switch and for the avid amiibo collectors out there, there are three different amiibo figures released alongside it. The Palamute and Palico amiibo figures are both standard sizes, whereas the Magnamalo figure is larger.

All three amiibo figures are available separately, though the Magnamalo amiibo also came included with the collector’s edition of the game. Scanning each amiibo gives you a unique set of cosmetic armor, as well as lottery tickets. Here’s everything you need to know about exactly what you get from scanning each amiibo.

Magnamalo

Scanning the Magnamalo amiibo will earn you the Sinister Seal (Hunter) layered armor. This armor is cosmetic only and will not give you any additional stats.

How to Obtain: You can scan your amiibo by speaking to the merchant in Kamura Village or at the hub to obtain the armor. After which, speak to the Courier Cat and find your new armor under “Add on Content”. Next, use the Item Box near the mailman to equip the Sinister Seal armor under the “Layered Armor Settings”.

This amiibo can also be used once per day to play Kagero’s Lottery.

Palamute

Scanning the Palamute amiibo figure will earn you the Sinister Seal (Palamute) layered armor. This armor is cosmetic only and will not give any additional stats.

How to Obtain: You can scan your amiibo by speaking to the merchant in Kamura Village or at the hub to obtain the armor. After which, speak to the Courier Cat and find your new armor under “Add on Content”. Next, go to the Buddy Plaza to change your Palamute’s armor.

Palico

Scanning the Palico amiibo figure will earn you the Sinister Seal (Palico) layered armor. This armor is cosmetic only and will not give any additional stats.

How to Obtain: You can scan your amiibo by speaking to the merchant in Kamura Village or at the hub to obtain the armor. After which, speak to the Courier Cat and find your new armor under “Add on Content”. Next, go to the Buddy Plaza to change your Palico’s armor.

Using Amiibo for Kagero’s Lottery

You can find Kagero in the Kamura Village plaza. When you speak to him, you will see that there is a “Use Amiibo” option. Afterward, scan your chosen amiibo on the NFC touchpoint on your console and you will be able to spin the wheel and win a random prize.

You can spin the lottery wheel three times a day, providing you have three different amiibo to use.
